001: Napoleon Bonaparte - Early Life To Early Prominence

In this inaugural episode, the first of a two part series, we will discuss Napoleon Bonaparte, one of the most prominent figures in history. Whether you know him by the actions he did or not, just by the name, there is a reputation that most people can agree is connected to it. The encompassing idea discussed in this first month of episodes will be: What makes a person a national citizen of the country that they are living in. The episode also delves into the details of Napoleon's early life in Corsica, moving into his years at the his first formal school and second formal school of study. The acquaintance the Napoleon has with Paoli is discussed along with some of the geopolitical issues of the time. The episode then culminates with his eventual leaving from Corsica in 1793.
