This is the first real episode of the No Excuses 365 podcast.  In this episode I discuss why I created the podcast, the goals I am going to accomplish and how I hope this might inspire or motivate you to achieve great things too.

There were two quotes mentioned in the episode.  I want to include them here too because I think they are both really important as we work toward accomplishing our dreams and goals.

The first quote is from What We Saw - Apollo 11 (2019).  There the host said the following: "The hardest thing was coming up with and committing to the goal and saying the words - we choose to go to the moon.  Everything else is a mere engineering problem."  This quote is huge.  The hardest part is coming up with and committing to the goal - everything else is a mere engineering problem.  That quote shook me to the core when I heard it.

The second quote is from the movie Rocky Balboa (2006).  In that movie Rocky says the following to his son: "Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!"  This quote encapsulates the spirit of No Excuses 365.
