On the 9th July 2020 I was admitted into hospital with Viral Meningitis. This is my 6th attack and 5th in the last 7 years. I have a condition called Mollaret's Meningitis which means recurring viral meningitis. I've been keeping an audio journal for a few years now and decided to record a series focusing on my experience of living with this rare chronic illness in the hope of raising awareness of the condition. I'm still getting used to living with a chronic illness and have had to adapt to having lower energy levels as well as the uncertainty a flare-up that can happen at any time.

In this episode, I explain a bit about how this podcast came about and how I moved from just surviving to thriving with a chronic illness. Also what I hope you'll get out of joining me each day as I share information and insights during my recent recovery from a flare-up.
