Hey what’s up everybody? This is Karim Amri, welcome to the Coaching Secrets podcast. Today I’m going to take you a couple of years back, when I shifted completely my career and life and the reason behind this podcast.

5 years ago, I was cruising the land with my Hummer H₃, running between dozens of contractions site, while managing hundreds of employees and over 40 Nationality. At that time, I was enjoying a great 6-figure yearly income into my bank account.

Unfortunately, and in parallel I had a blackberry provided by the company, ringing 24/7, hundreds of urgent emails per day, and no singly 100% free day with my family, even during the supposed vacation I had to reply to urgent emails, and attend calls, over a decade, stuck in a position with no growth.

During these years of people management, I learned very well, and mastered what we call : the art of delegation. For me at that time, it was not just removing works from my shoulders, which I can’t deny that it was happening, but it was a way of helping others, discover their true strength and potential, try and experience things .

I was really enjoying doing it and that brought me to the world of Coaching. It was the end of Feb, when my wife finally getting the chance to enrol in a 21 days TOT program, I was the one who’s going to finalize the payment, and, with the person I am, I went there with only one goal, bargaining to the maximum to save some dollars.

I was not really well positioned to get any discount, as it was a field far from the dust, design and piping, where I’ve learned during years how to win a discussion so my last shot was : “What’s gonna be the best offer if we enrol both?”

To my surprise, The offer was so interesting, that I decided to go for an emergency leave, extended it to 21 days, to end up certified as a Professional trainer and start a long journey of Coaching, self-development, and mind exploring, that took me to over 30 Countries meeting some top ranked people in the industry.
