002 - Four Essential Areas of Commitment
In each of our churches, there are different needs, expectations when it comes to a Praise Team Member/Choir/Band.  There are different needs that each church have and several factors that make up those.
There are 4 areas of commitment that each team member needs to make:
1.  Committed to Christ
Yes, this might seem like an obvious one…but after talking with other worship pastors…and team members, it needs to be emphasized.
Signs of growth in their walk with Christ
Being involved on the team isn't just a replacement for the Karaoke bar.
2. Committed to the Church
This might sound very elementary and obvious but here is the thing that you always have to keep in mind:
Beware of someone who will commit to the stage but won't commit to the church…The trade offs simply aren't worth it.
How do you know that they are placing the stage above the church?
They never show up unless something benefits them
If they aren't scheduled, they have a million reasons why they couldn't make it to church
They won't sit through a Sunday morning message.
They use phrases like, "I just can't worship when I am in the congregation/audience.  I need to be up there singing."
Never get so enamored with someone's gift that you don't take time to get to know their heart. It can become a cancer to your team unity.
3. Committed to the Team
They view their role as a ministry that they are called to and not a position that they volunteer for.

4. Committed to the Task
          Rehearsals
          Role
This is not a duty but a privilege!
Having a mindset of:  What I do and the part I play matter
