With the current societal changes, many around the world are looking at their sense of freedom and independence. In celebration of the 4th of July and U.S. Independence Day, we are looking at what that meant in the past and what that means now.
Albert Einstein states "everything that is really great and inspiring is created by the individual who can labor in freedom." Our individual rights and sense of freedom as an individual is one challenge we can look at when it comes to freedom.
But what is really in question is the relationship to the community - surrounding us and within the global community. What we are looking at is a relationship between independence and law, freedom and obligation, rights and impact.
