Description:
Welcome to Surviving Medicine, the podcast that takes you into the mind of the best and brightest premedical and medical students, residents and physicians discussing where Medical Education is today and the future of healthcare tomorrow.
Each week we bring you an inside look at how Medicine in the United States is changing and how together we can help improve the lives of millions.
My name is Frank Cusimano, your host, a third-year medical student and third year PhD student – with a passion for anything health, wellness, medical education, and healthcare related.
Before we begin, I want to take a moment to thank you, our listeners, for listening in and providing feedback. If you have not already make sure you subscribe to the podcast on The Itunes App and leave a review. Also during today’s podcast, I want to apologize, we had a few interruptions with guests walking into our recording room, our sound engineer did a pretty good job editing them out, but if you hear anything, we apologize.
With that, I could not be more excited for you to hear my interview with Jenny Wang, a fourth-year medical student in NYC who is doing research in Dermatology. Many of you may know her as @thevibrantmed on Instagram or from her blog, Thevibrantmed. In this conversation, we dive deep into Jenny’s childhood growing up in Chicago and Shangai and we talk about her premedical years and how her love for medicine stemmed from her passion for science. I really think you guys are going to like this one – she is so connected with why she does what she does that it was inspiring to me! it reminded me of all of the reasons why I first decided to apply to medical school.
I really hope you guys enjoy this one!
