Yes, they're all standing around in a circle ready to go. But the reality is, in today's restaurant industry, people are showing up, trying to get some kind of relief, but it just ain't coming.   Why? Because the deck is stacked against them. The restaurant industry - especially the fast food industry - used to be a transitionary one. Consider this, today, 40% of the workforce in the U.S. fast food field is 25 years and older with the average age being 29. And 26% of fast food workers in the USofA are parents. That's a lot of shoes to buy.   We tell all these folks to "just go to college" and get an education to get them out of the "circle". Oh yeh, but who's going to pay for it? As it is, 78% of blacks and minorities in America go into debt to pay for education. So, they, reason it's better to stay in the circle and try and make something come of it. Most figure it's better to shoot blanks and be poor than leave the circle and be destitute and in debt.   On this episode of Tip Not Included, Host Eric Levine addresses the hypocrisies in the restaurant industry, who's behind them, what's keeping people in that never-ending and joyless circle, and who needs to step up and break that circle so that all who enter it can finally let go.   Eric would love to hear from you.
