In 2012, researchers from CERN discovered the Higgs Boson particle, a particle they said is "crucial to the stability of the universe." If something were to destabilize the particle, it would open a black hole that swallowed us up, leaving us in a dark, empty void. Unless... we exist in a multiverse.
