This week, my guest is Ella Masters, a commercial artist and illustrator who’s work I first found on Instagram. She specialises in quirky quotes and colourful paintings which she sells as prints, bags and ceramics and also does commission work which has seen her collaborating with amazing brands such as Anthropologie, Lancome, Caffe Nero and Shake Shack to name a few.

I met Ella in a little cafe in London and picked her brain about taking the leap and becoming a full-time commercial artist. We talk about the comparison trap in the creative industry, why starting a blog can lead to a business and how to deal with the tricky subject of pricing.
