#003 Keep Listening, Keep Learning

Listen Later

I started my podcast to talk about my music journey as well as about topics like mindset and mindfulness and becoming a more wholesome, connected human being.
Well, you can't become a more wholesome, connected human being if you are not talking about what is happening in the world right now.
So I rerecorded the initial episode I had planned today to talk about some uncomfortable, but important things:
- The first time I 'consciously' experienced white privilege when I lived in Singapore as an expat and started waking up to what it means
- That I'm learning that saying "I'm not racist because I have friends from all races and I've dated outside my own race etc" is not enough, and that non-racist has to become --> actively anti-racist
- How I'm doing more listening, more learning, and becoming more proactive (imperfectly I am sure, but I felt it's better to talk about it than not even try)
If you are on this learning path too, check out the episode.
Some people I've been learning from this week:
Zarayda Groenhart about what we can do (Dutch): https://www.instagram.com/p/CA43dG4DhKz/
Amentimovemeant (English) on white privilege in spirituality (thank you Nancy for sharing!): https://www.instagram.com/p/CA3IyxApLe9/
