MikeFavoritesHuon Pine.  Nice buttery color, very easy to turn.  Great wood to teach how to turn a pen.  Typically not found in the US, but it is available through Ebay and Etsy.

Least FavoriteInlace Acrylester.  Apparently, a chord was struck on this one as all three hosts agreed that Inlace Acrylester is the devil itself.  It chips and blows out way too easily.  Bob recommended a sharp HSS tool and lowering the speed of the lathe.
