[003] Moving Forward

Time to move forward - where do we start? I remember feeling so overwhelmed with this when I had to start over post divorce. Let's be honest, I still feel that way often but it's far more manageable now when using these tactics:

1. Write it all down. Some people call this a brain dump. Get everything OUT of your head and somewhere that you can actually see it. Just that simple step can help tremedously.

2. Rank these things in order of importance. What is the most important? What needs to happen now? What can happen tomorrow/next week/next year?

3. What is ONE thing you can do today to get closer to your goal? Bite sized pieces here.

Now that you have your one thing - can you break this down further?

For example: my number one was to find a job. Then I broke that down even further - what type of job? Salary? Benefits? What does my schedule look like?

It took me three different jobs to find something that fit everything I wanted in a career. You may not get it on the first try but don't ever stop until you find exactly what you are looking for! Life is too short to settle.
