Professor Jones is an endocrinologist, that’s a doctor that deals with problems with glands in the body, and is the Head of School at Newcastle University. He gave us an insight into the application process at Newcastle Medical School.

It was a really interesting conversation and we covered a lot including what makes Newcastle Med School unique, the integrated curriculum at Newcastle University, the differences with the graduate entry course and lots more about the selection process. We also discussed the challenges and highlights of Prof Jones’ career to date and at the end of the podcast, we got into how he has dealt with stress during his career touching on how mindfulness has been useful for him and how he has had the opportunity to work abroad as a doctor. It was a really interesting talk.
