Aboard the ocean liner Marvania Dick Tracy and Pat had been trying to protect the famous Egyptologist Dryden Small from an unknown enemy called the man with the yellow face. Yesterday we heard how a strange apparition had frightened one of the crew in the hold of the ship. Returning from investigating Dick overheard the man with the yellow face threatening to kill Pat who he'd left with Dryden Small. Tracy had no gun with him so he was forced to try to bluff the man with the yellow face into believing he had one.
