Often as believers we focus on the fact that our sins were all forgiven when we received Jesus as our Savior. While this is absolutely true, sometimes we fail to realize that how we live as believers has a huge affect on our ability to be close to the Father. The writer of Hebrews urged us to get rid of the sin which so easily entangles. What that means is that while we may be forgiven, continued sin in our lives becomes like a snare, and it will most certainly hinder our desire to grow closer to the Lord.
