Rob Walker, the voice of snooker and creator of the catchphrase “let’s get the boys on the baize”, tells The CueZone how he made it as a broadcaster and master of ceremonies, the part luck played in his career and why he always wanted to commentate on the athletics.

Sports commentator Rob Walker has been master of ceremonies (MC) at major televised snooker tournaments such as the World Snooker Championship since 2008, and has been host of the Global Snooker Awards. He has also worked with the BBC, Channel 4, ITV and the IAAF covering major sports events from the Football World Cup to the World Athletics Championships.
