By that, I mean always relating stuff to how many calories it burns & how it'll help you lose weight.

Applying these tips might help you lose weight, but in my opinion that only scratches the surface of all the benefits you can get from doing these things regularly.
And I think if we focus on these things from an overall health point of view - we'll have a better relationship with them (e.g. if you only exercise to burn calories you'll probably dislike exercise as you only associate it with dieting).
