The second issue of the Culture in Flux series continues examining the changing landscape of BMX culture, particularly in regards to the identity of BMX itself. The author argues that identity is an important guiding force in BMX, but bigger issues are hidden below the surface of conflicts prevalent in BMX at the moment; namely, the relationship between riders and the industry and its related institutions.
