Oh hi! It's been a few weeks and life was insane.
If you listened to Episode 4 you know my car got broken into and that started a spiral of chaos - shortly after my son got sick (had to go to ER because he spiked a 103.2 fever) then a week later I got sick, AND we were moving from our apartment to a townhouse during all of that..... lots of stairs, lots of boxes, lots of cleaning. We turned in the keys to our old place last week and I finally feel like I have recovered.
During this time the podcast was on my mind a lot but was put on the back burner and I almost didn't start it up again. I had missed a few weeks and felt like it wasn't perfect, so why do it?
Are you someone who will stop reaching for a goal or stop doing something if you don't get it right the first time? I am - and I am tired of it! I have missed out on so much because of it - no more.
MAYBE from now on we start to tell ourselves that making progress is actually where the perfection lies - not doing something "right" the first time. Maybe who we become in the process is far more important than things looking "perfect" from the outside looking in.
Thank you for tuning in today!! I am back - and I'm sticking around for awhile, even if it isn't perfect. Who really cares, right?
