Preemptive apologies for the two bits of denoised audio. The 2017 adaptation of Murder On The Orient Express is a competent, if at times disappointing or underwhelming, adaptation of the famous Agatha Christie novel. A strong cast highlighted by Branagh's Poirot work hard to keep the film in a good place, but overall the movie is bogged down by what feels like a weak first act. Despite this, there is clear passion for the project from the director's chair as Branagh and the rest of the cast and crew deliver a product that never feels cheap. This is enough to make it a worthwhile watch for those who enjoy whodunits, with an interesting arc for the famous Hercule Poirot. It also makes me interested in seeing the latest Christie adaptation due out in a few weeks, Death On The Nile. Check out this review on YouTube (along with some bonus content of my dog, Eli!) here.
