Ah...the Emerald Isle. This mysterious land was also impacted by Vikings, though in a much different way than their English and Welsh neighbors. See, these Vikings kept to the coasts and harbors, but due to the trade initiated, Ireland became a very interesting place, especially since the main points of conflict didn't lie with the Vikings exactly...the Irish were notorious for territorial infighting. This is the first of two parts establishing Ireland as another critical component to the story of the late middle ages.
