Lady Vean is a trained actress/singer, artist, and even a scientist with degrees in psychology and biology.  She is passionate about wildlife conservation, and she spent over 3 years conducting field research in the wetlands of the Atlantic coast of the US.  She has been a Trekkie for well over 30 years and is known by many in fandom as the Cardassian Queen.
