Artists are often overlooked when it comes to conversations around entrepreneurship. But being an independent artist, or a freelancer is frequently how many student become working artists after college. Dean Dempster from the College of Fine Arts at UT Austin is looking to make changes in how artists are being educated to work in todays workforce. From better transitional educational experiences to incredible makers spaces on campus, Dean Doug Dempster is making changes from the ground up in fine art education.
