The Nature Of Authors

006: Forgiveness and Why Representation Matters with L.M. Bennett

Listen Later

What started as an Instagram Live series has now turned into a podcast. The first seven episodes are from that series, so if you missed it on Instagram, no worries. Here you go!

In this sixth episode, Chrissy interviews L.M. Bennett, author of Wax and Wane. Chrissy starts with Would You Rather questions related to books and nature, and then she launches into L.M. Bennett's romance, Wax and Wane.

This story is about a woman who is not aging well. Lane wants the company of a beautiful woman to ease the sting of turning 40. But, before Lane can enjoy the second act of her life, she must confront old wounds she thought had healed.

Throughout the episode, L.M. and Chrissy discuss picking a title, exploring characters, forgiveness, and why representation and creative imagination matter. Near the end, L.M. reads one of her favorite scenes. Be sure to check out Wax and Wane, or other work by L.M. Bennett.
