Welcome to DEM tech folks. In this episode, we are chatting with Mr Roger Campbell II who is the Founder and Owner of GemStack a Technology Consulting company out of Bowie, MD. Roger shares with us his background going from failing to complete not one but two degrees and to now being the founder of a very successful organization that some of the biggest names in technology have entrusted to train their best and brightest. Roger is extremely intentional and goal oriented as he details his pursuit into tech and out of his parents home. Roger is also a very compassionate person who shares with us how something he wrote in response to the murder of George Floyd which resulted in him going on to win the Telly Award. This piece of work is titled Voices from the June 6 Black Lives Matter protest in DC and is known for moving people to tears. We shared a lot of laughs and I personally will recommend a conversation with this brother for anyone looking to follow a similar path. We also touch on work life balance, the importance of recharging, and find ourselves getting more personal than usual. We hope you can pick up and use some of these gems in a way that will allow you to move forward on your journey to become one of DEM tech folks! You can find our guest on LinkedIn.
