On the 9th July 2020 I was admitted into hospital with Viral Meningitis. This is my 6th attack and 5th in the last 7 years. I have a condition called Mollaret's Meningitis which means recurring viral meningitis. I've been keeping an audio journal for a few years now and decided to record a series focusing on my experience of living with this rare chronic illness in the hope of raising awareness of the condition.

Today's episode was recorded on 12th July 2020 whilst I was still in the hospital. I share the story of my first viral meningitis attack at the age of 18. I very rarely share this story because I feel embarrassed and ashamed. I shouldn't but I do.
