This life is somewhat like a probationary period. It is a time of testing, a time to see if we are who we say we are. When we confess Jesus our Lord we are then under the obligation to live up to that pledge. We have received the gift of holy spirit and then we are then to walk holy and blameless before Him. We must never forget that the way we love God is demonstrated by how we love those around us. The measure we are held to is the standard that Jesus set, the standard of how he loved. We will all appear before him and when we do we will be judged according to how we have loved, living a life of dedicated service to others.
