What does excellence mean to you? Excellence was a word I ran into as a young man and have always wrestled with the realities of it and whether or not I'll be able to know if something is or isn't excellent. I believe that excellence is possible but if we're not careful the chase after excellence is a route away from God. God is who makes things excellent in our lives. There’s something wild about having to reconcile the artist inside with the Spirit of God. The sparks that come from the struggle are flickers that can ignite a fire around the world. Being a worship leader has its challenges, but there’s something special about being on the frontlines of what God is doing. It’s dangerous. God makes it that way; it’s a chase after eternity.
