Dedicated to cleaning up the shorelines of Hawaii while educating and inspiring others, Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii is doing their part in bettering our oceans. The grassroots organization, located on the island of Oahu, has made it their mission to bring awareness and action against marine debris. They have garnered the support of influential people such as Ellen Degeneres, Jason Momoa, and almost half a million volunteers who work tirelessly to clean our oceans. I was fortunate to sit down with executive director Rafael Bergstrom, who started his career as a pro baseball player. After an injury, Rafael decided he wanted to have a job that was more aligned with his environmental values and would eventually bring him to Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii.
