Nobody But Yourself

008_Growing Up Black in America

Listen Later

On this episode, Merle joins us to share his story of what it is like to grow up Black in America. Personally, I found his perspective very intriguing as his parents chose to homeschool him. Not only did they teach him about the great Black men and women from the past, but they also taught him at a young age to understand that he is worthy just for being him no matter what the system says. I ask that as you listen to this episode, you do so with an open mind and heart. Perhaps, you will see from a new perspective than you have before.
