in 2010, April Samuels was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer called "Triple Negative Breast Cancer".

Not one to walk away from a fight, April tackled breast cancer with a vengeance and won that battle.    

As a gigging drummer, April decided to take the fight to cancer and combined her love of drumming with her passion to beat cancer and help others with their fights.   

In late 2010, she started her nonprofit organization "Breast Cancer Can Stick It!" with a mission to raise awareness and funds for a cure by orchestrating energetic, unique, music-minded events that ROCK to ultimately STICK IT to breast cancer.
