Kadesha Powell is an Amazon #1 Best Selling Author and Award-Winning Finalist of the 2021 Best Book Awards sponsored by American BookFest.  In her debut memoir, Growing up Joplin, she shares the trials and triumphs of being one of a few African Americans raised in a small, predominantly white, Midwestern town.  Next Kadesha co-wrote with Erica B. Davis, Queen of Bahia, romantic suspense and a part of USA Today and Essence Best Selling author, Naleighna Kai’s Queens of the Castle series.   Currently, she’s writing a rom-com screenplay and planning for her next series of books.  Kadesha enjoys reading and writing many genres.
