Jamie Schumacher got her start in events working as a makeup artist and monster at Knott’s Scary Farm in Southern California, and went on to found Altered Esthetics in Northeast Minneapolis. She is currently Events Manager at ARTCRANK and Executive Director of the West Bank Business Association.

For this episode we talked about the disparate paths to a career in event management, how Jamie’s background prepared her for what she’s doing now, and whether event planning is a creative outlet, or more like training for a marathon.
