009: New Definitions of Social Success

Listen Later

Being successful in our social lives looks vastly different for each of us. Maybe you're an introvert who feels like you need to get out more, or you're an extrovert who wants to learn to spend time alone. Either way, we need to stop measuring our social success by comparing ourselves to others.

In this episode, Elizabeth and Laine (both introverts) are joined by Licensed Social Worker and Joy Society member, Amber Harris, who reps the extrovert perspective. We discuss what it means to be a shy extrovert, an introvert in a family of social butterflies, and why it's essential to know where you fall on the introvert/extrovert scale. As always, we leave you with some gems to consider when evaluating your own social success and improving your social well-being.
