Hugh Jayness loves truck stops. It's not just the food or the clean showers - he loves to satisfy the burly men who inhabit the world of trucking. It's an obsession. He answers an ad for a new kind of trucker, the hotshot, who owns their own regular-sized pickup truck and uses it for short hauls. As we'll see in this story, there's nothing regular-sized or short about any of the men he meets.
