• Start with the mentality that you are already a small business. You are the CEO deciding roles, projects, timelines, and strategy based on where you want to create value.
• Drop urgency and envy about age or titles. The only reason you're going to get the opportunities you want are because you're the solution to somebody else's problems.
• Dig into the “cool kids” to know where they would see value in you and your abilities.
• Identify your next thing and what resonates with you and surround yourself with people building around those values.
