• Picture the vision of your next phase of work and like over the next few years. Then look if working for season 2 brings you closer or further away from it.
• Focus on building a relationship with the showrunner for the next three months and be clear on your intentions to see if it opens creative opportunities.
• The more you build this relationship, the more this person might be an advocate and protect you.
• Use this opportunity to strengthen your ability to set clear boundaries. When people call you difficult to work with, that usually means you're difficult to take advantage of.
• If you're in a really tough situation where you feel you're being taken advantage of, you either have to quit on them, or you have to quit on you.
