Renita shares her story of taking the leap from a comfortable corporate job to building a company that boast Fortune 100 companies as clients.  She talks about following her passion and how that led her to creating two companies. The first company SIGHTSSET leverages her expertise in marketing and research and the second company stems from her passion of writing and her desire to publish her work.

Renita’s first entrepreneurship venture began at Florida A&M University where her and another classmate successfully launched HipHop Enterprises. They discovered an opportunity manage talent for Florida A&M University key annual events.

After concluding her first entrepreneurial venture, Renita built a successful career in Corporate America. Her collected numerous accolades within Corporate America, but her entrepreneurial aspirations never vanished.  

Renita explains the importance for aspiring entrepreneurs to ask themselves three fundamental questions:

  1. What are your fears?
  2. What is your why?
  3. What is your  “Walk Away Number?”

Recognizing an opportunity from her corporate experience, she shares the story about capitalizing on the unfilled market needs due to her cultural awareness of the target audience and Corporate America’s lack of executing initiatives tailored to the target audience. Also, Renita shares how she had to pivot from her original business model as she built her company.
