Love without intimacy is no love at all. Intimacy is the spirit of love; it enables a relationship to be healthy, without it, a relationship is impossible. Being intimate with God requires you to be open and available at all times, never missing an opportunity to make a connection. This is the only type of relationship that is relevant and honored by God; one that is sacrificial, and established in truth. But building an intimate relationship with God requires more than church service, fasting, and Bible reading.
