Kirk Reflections 7th January 2024.
Marion Donald brings a New Year reflection from Kirkliston Parish Church, Scotland.
1 John 4: 7-21
Another new year and it's that time again when we see so many adverts encouraging us to be more healthy looking at our diet and the exercise we take (or don't). But how often do we check out our spiritual health? Out bodies need proper nutrients in order to be healthy and function well. Our spiritual life needs fed too. The core of that stems from love, starting with God's love for us who created us and knew and loved us from the very beginning of time. When you are in a living relationship with someone you accept and return that love. Jesus asks us to share that love with the world. Sometimes our busyness gets in the way of growing and strengthening that loving relationship with Him. This week we look at reconnecting with God and growing our spiritual health in our love for others.
