Welcome to Episode 0.1 of the Student Series Bonus Podcast special presented by The Halo Effect Podcast.
I'm so excited for you guys to listen to these upcoming episodes with interviews of students and new graduates. Much more relatability to the experiences, struggles, and journeys. In this bonus episode I speak with Dr. Dillan Hanks PT, DPT; a home health pediatric physical therapist and close friend of mine. Dillan has always had an incredible passion from the profession after having experienced 3 ACL ruptures in the same knee, and has been making her own strides with advocating for physical therapy. From failing boards on her first attempt to passing and taking on a field of physical therapy she never thought she'd love, Dillan has one of the most inspiring stories with her journey to becoming a Physical Therapist. Topics discussed include: importance of maintaining a social life and keeping up with your health a student and in preparation for the NPTE, why you SHOULD address your self as a Doctor, managing financial struggles as a new grad, failing and overcoming the NPTE, and the importance of advocating for physical therapy. It was so much fun and an absolute pleasure having her on and turned out to be one of my longest episodes!!
If you have any further questions feel free to email Dillan at [email protected] or message her on instagram @Dillhanks
