Hey what’s up everybody, this is Karim Amri. Welcome to Coaching Secrets Podcast
Yesterday we started speaking about personality types, and how important to know them whether for our personal life’s interaction or professional ones.
Considering the DISC model we covered the Dominant people characters and the Influencing people characters. Today we gonna cover the 2 next ones. S and C. Steady and Compliant people they have many behaviours and characters in common. Unlike D and I people, C & S are process oriented, and both are passive personalities, far of being active.
On the other hand S is People oriented, very friendly and tend always to have and be in a friendly atmosphere, far from troubles, clashes, risks, and unexpected challenges. They highly value security over most of the other things, including power, authority, promotions,…
While C people are Task oriented, these are the numbers experts, they adore processes and procedures and enjoy complying. Very organized, and details oriented and very reliable when looking for accurate statistics or proven researches.
Each of the 4 personalities is great when he’s in balance, in other words when he’s aware about his strength and weaknesses, and considering them when dealing with people. It’s important to remind that each of us is a combination of the 4 personality with a dominant one.
For Coaches, identifying the personality of the coachee is with high importance whether in personal coaching or business coaching, since knowing the type of personality of your client will help you identify the best way of communication you use with him, and that’s a great way to connect quickly and be more efficient in your time together while progressing in the coaching process.
In business and corporate coaching, DISC, MBTI, Enneagram or any other assessment tool, can play a big role in team building , internal communication and collaboration challenges.
