Be inspired by discovering the prophetic edge to songwriting, and how Robbie Silverarm is going to bring post-covid joy to Hawaii and go On Tour this year.
Build The Song is a Podcast that empowers Songwriters, Musicians, Rappers and Rockstars to be 100 times more On-Fire as Creators!
On this episode I use quite a bit of humor to share about how we have a Gift on the inside, and that we can’t just hide it in the closet or leave it in a drawer. We’ve got to use it!
Watching the documentary of Johnny Cash called “The Gift” will totally encourage you as a songwriter no matter what genre of music you are into.
Johnny Cash’s Mom said to him, “Boy, you better use that gift!” And he never forgot it. And boy did he use his gift! And so will you and I too.
When I got attacked by 2 huge Pitbulls here in Hawaii while riding my bike down the mountain, on Auhuhu Street at the very top of Pearl City here on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, I experienced a divine intervention where a Guardian Angel rescued me. Yet, I was knocked-out when the first Pitbull slammed into my mountain bike my whole right arm was crushed when I landed in the middle of the street, and needed to re-build with metal cages, pins and screws. AND YET… many song came out of that painful season.
During these difficult covid/post-covid time it’s a challenge to write songs (…and it’s hard for Robbie to get a girlfriend too 😆 😩). Yet all of us are feeling it’s effects, it’s PAINFUL effects… some of us more than others.
But through this I’m going to be going On Tour and doing 50 Shows here on Oahu to bring Post-Covid Joy. My Tour is called, “The Honolulu Dance Robot Yacht Rock Tour coming to a city near you, bringing sometimes Spam Musubi just for you.”
"CRY ON A DIME” (song by: Robbie Silverarm / Honolulu, Hawaii)
‘Didn’t know that I can cry
I can cry on a dime
In the rain or sun shine
I can cry on a dime
Sometimes I wonder why
Why I can cry on a dime
(Someone came up to me and said…)
It must be a Gift of some kind
You can cry on a dime
Then a still small voice
Said inside, “Robbie…"
(..no, you’re gonna have to
Wait for this one…)
Why…. Oh Why?
Huh, Robbie ?
‘Cuz you almost died
Why…. Oh Why?
Robbie,
‘Cuz you almost died
I can cry on a dime
I can cry on a dime
So, it was almost like that
Voice was saying to me…
Maybe you can take some
Of that pain, and all that
You’ve been through in your life..
During this post-covid season,
Maybe you can bring some joy
And break depression off their life
And have a little fun with it, Robbie
And I was really surprised
It’s like “Have a little fun with it!”
And I was like, “Oh wow?”
And this is the first thing
That came to mind…
When you put me in the movies
Then you’ll just why, yeah
I can cry on a dime
Hawaii 5-0 and
Magnum P.I.
I can cry on a dime
I can cry on a dime, yeah
Ain’t that right Bruno?
I can cry on a dime, yeah.
