Welcome back to Midnight Movies!
Today, Nikki and Cody are reviewing Super 8, directed by J.J. Abrams. In the summer of 1979, a group of teenagers are filming a zombie film, when they witness a pick-up truck run head straight into a train. Their lives get turned upside down when they realize the crash was no random accident, but a ploy to let free an alien being from government containment. As the alien tries to construct a ship to leave Earth, the kids try to find out the government cover up.
Super 8 was released in 2011, and managed to become a moderate success at time. The film has since been lost to memory, but does the film deserve a second look? Listen to Nikki and Cody to find out.
