Few things can upset one's mental equilibrium more than trying to understand complex science.  The guys at TS2M don't claim to be experts, and although these stupid studies are interesting, they're pretty sure that money can be better spent on R & D... glow in the dark cats are pretty cool, though!
     Seriously, who gives the greenlight for some of these research studies?  Why would you even dream of spending thousands and thousands of dollars for a pool full of syrup, or training a bird to interact with art?  If you happen to doubt the merit of such research, you'll be happy to know that there's statistics to support the efficacy of studying said research... yeah.
