Ecclesiastes 3:1-8; Romans 8:31-39; Luke 12:35-40

Do you have enough time? We never seem to have enough, do we? But as we consider God’s Word this day, we realize that the time is now. God declares, “Again He appoints a certain day, ‘Today,’ saying through David so long afterward, in the words already quoted, ‘Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts’ ” (Hebrews 4:7). We need to realize that God is not just the King of the universe but also the Lord of time. That is frightening in some ways. It means we should not put off repentance as we so often do. But it also provides such comfort; our times are in His hands. Today, as we stand on the edge of another year, we will consider time. Let us consider how all our times are in His hands.
