Spend some time reflecting and discussing the text from today’s message.

Here are some questions to consider:

• Start by writing down or sharing some of your hopes, thoughts, and/or resolutions for 2022.

• Now, consider Jesus’ teaching in the last few verses of chapter 21. What kind of faith does he call us to pursue?

• Jesus references God’s sovereignty by stating that what will happen has already been determined (22:22). Not only will suffering come to God’s

people, but it will come to the Son. Wrestle with this idea.

• Finally, considering that God is sovereign and that God works most mightily in difficult circumstances, think through 2022 again and pray in accordance with God’s will.
