Colleen is a woman who was blessed with a life-changing diagnosis at a young age. For the last twenty-seven years, she has been on a journey of self-discovery, working to always heal and improve my health, giving back to the world as much as I can, and maintaining high hopes each moment of the day. I truly know how to be grateful for what I have and consider this to be my greatest life blessing!
She has discovered that giving yourself what you require, in order to be as healthy as you can! But it needs to start with respecting your body, as your vehicle for life.
She believes that part of self-love involves recognizing what your body is capable of and being thankful for all of what your body provides for you each day.
When she was young, she had many strange health ‘issues’ (constant ear infections, always cold hands and feet, so much trouble falling asleep). When she was 13, she was riding my bike home from a sleepover with a friend and noticed her vision was messed up. She saw everything in double.
After going to and from various specialists, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. It took about a year before she realized, yes, she could be in a wheelchair, but in reality, tomorrow is promised to no one. All we have for certain is this very moment.
Self-love is important to her healing, both mental and physical healing. She knows that she cannot get to where she wishes to be, (health-wise) if she is not willing to show herself the love, she can not give that love to my family, friends and all other humans.
