Today, I interview Camille Bennett who is the founder of project say something & anti-racism leader located in Florence, Alabama. She shares about growing up as a black woman in Alabama, being a mom to two teenage sons, and how to be an ally to our black community. She has spent the last 3 years working towards the removal of a Confederate statue & shares her anger in what it has taken for the city to start to listen. I give an update on the removal of the monument after leaving the protest and city meeting. It will give a small glimpse into what our black communities are fighting.
